D.O.BF1tness Client of the Month
D.OBF1tness Client of the Month:
Every quarter I like to award a client the title of client of month. Just my way of awarding the commitment, motivation, hardwork and achievement shown. This is base on not just turning up and training but on a few categories such as punctuality, attendance, detrimnation, results, own incentive and consistency. At the end of each quarter one client gets rewarded with a goody bag of D.O.BF1tness prizes.

Client of the Month - March Abbey Bertelsen
This year I have been in training for the London Marathon. As part of my training I decided to hire James as my Personal Trainer. He has made a massive difference to my training. Each week he tracks my progress and tailors my training sessions around my short, medium and long -term goals. His sessions are hard work, challenging but overall rewarding and they’re even fun! James has also been able to give me huge amounts of advice on nutrition, something I knew very little about before, which has helped me keep energised for my busy training schedule and helped me recover and prevent injury. I thoroughly recommend anyone in training or just looking to get fitter to hire James as their personal trainer.
Abbey Bertelsen
Abbey decided she needed extra training to prepare herself for the 2016 London marathon. So after the new year Abbey set on a three month journey with me to get fit and build up her fitness, strength and condition to be able to take part in this year’s marathon. But before we could do that I had to get Abbey started on a realistic short and medium term goal. Once those goals was set Abbey managed to commit fully and exceed in reaching her targets. So together Abbey and I decided that her long term goal was to run a marathron time of under five hours. I also had to change Abbey's diet of mostly soups to mostly carbs, protein and get her to understand more about nutrition. Which was a battle at first but got there in the end! The issues with woman taking protein, why some woman are so against it (see blog for full story!!).
As a client Abbey was motivated, hardworking and fully dedicated, turned up to every session, even attend my bootcamps and boxercise sessions. So as the results with all the training and hard work Abbey put in paid dividends as Abbey managed to finished the marathon in her set target of under five hours .
D.O.BF1tness advice = Have your target, set your goal, be motivated and determined, work hard and be patient and just like Abbey you’ll get results and stand a chance of winning my client of the month award.

Client of the Month - June Alex Jenkins
James trained me for the three months, through both personal training sessions and his weekly boxercise class.
We sat and discussed my goals and what would be achievable on reasonable timeline. My goal was largely aesthetics as I plan on travelling and have spent the last year sat behind a desk.
With this in mind James created tailored workouts for me to achieve my goals, managing to keep them interesting, particularly for someone who is not hugely keen on exercise.
During the workouts he was enthusiastic and helpful, keeping me motivated to go on. He also went to lengths to describe how I should be completing an exercise and why, with advice to prevent injury and emphasising what muscle groups it would be targeting and the effects. It was clear from the workouts that although they were challenging and tough at times, they were effective and designed so I could see real progress.
James is passionate about everything to do with fitness, encouraging me to change my diet and giving advice to consider the nutrition I would need to ensure healthy recovery.
Alex Jenkins
Alex Jenkins a client that want from never exercising or having a great interest in fitness or weight training. Decide after months of declining my offers of joining my boxercise class, after much persuading Alex finally took the plunge and gave it a go.
Alex decided that he really enjoyed boxercise which encourage him to attend more classes. Which in turn lead Alex to want to hire me as his personal trainer from the enjoyment and success he received from attending my boxercise sessions.
Three months before Alex was due to travel to Melbourne Alex decided he wanted to build on his cardio fitness as well as reducing his body fat percentage whist having a more toned body physique.
So three months of training Alex we started on building up his cardio fitness with interval training as Alex had a reasonable level of fitness already.
I introduce Alex to resistance weight training building up his muscle endurance firstly before moving on to building up on his strength and conditioning. Alex found it difficult at first barring in mind he had never trained before, but after weeks of hardwork and consistence training twice a week the improvement was vest and great to see.
I also advised Alex on his diet with healthier nutirtion choices plus recommend protien intake.
Alex managed to reduce his body fat percatange by more than 2% and increase his weight from 12.7st to 13.1st an increase weight and muscle gain of 8lbs. Leaving Alex happy with the suffer body he wanted!!!
