Being a keen exerciser and personal trainer, for me and others it’s all about working out and finding the best types of nutritional products and supplements to help my body recover and get results in the best possible way. One of my favorite nutritional products (which is the least expensive but for me most effective) which I absolutely love and carry about everywhere is my fruit infuser bottle. Studies have shown that drinking water naturally boosts your metabolism and drinking fruit infused water for weight loss can be an easy way to increase your water intake. These simple detox water recipes are inexpensive, have almost zero calories and taste great too!

Also called detox water, fruit flavored water, or fruit infused water; infused water can generally be any combination of fruits, vegetables, and herbs immersed in cold water. While infused water has the benefit of being full of flavor, it also has no calories, making it a very powerful tool in your efforts to lose weight and gain better health.

I began making infused water back last year with my first flavored water: strawberries and blueberries full of flavor tasted great and just made me want more though out the day.

It’s amazing and you’d be surprised by how many people don’t like the bland taste of water meaning they don’t drink enough which leads to dehydration and headaches, regulation of body temperature. Your body consists of more than 70 percent water. Water helps the brain and kidneys to function properly - it also helps with digestion, supports muscle function, boosts your metabolism and your immune system. In addition to not drinking enough water, water can be lost through sweat, vomiting, diarrhea and using the restroom. Many problems may occur when you don't drink enough water, including heatstroke and seizures. Not drinking enough water may make you think that you're hungry when you are really thirsty. It may also impact your digestive system as well as making you constipated. Don't wait until you are thirsty before you drink water as this may mean your body is already dehydrated. It’s encouraged drinking water throughout the day as well as with every meal.

Studies often say we should be drinking at least 2 litres of water per day. You can make a serving of infused water in a single glass, or use a fruit infusion pitcher to make a large batch. I like to keep a large pitcher of infused water in my refrigerator at all times. I have now convinced my family and friends into making them also meaning they drink a LOT more water.

What Are The Benefits of Infused Water?

Besides tasting great and having zero calories, a water detox has many additional health benefits, including:

  • Improves your mood.

  • Flushes toxins from your system.

  • Fills you up so you don’t eat as much junk.

  • Naturally helps your body release fat cells for water weight loss.

  • Keeps food moving through your system.

  • Keeps your organs healthy while you’re sweating.

  • Reduces muscle fatigue while working out.

  • Helps you recuperate faster from a workout.

  • Keeps you from feeling groggy in the afternoon.

Drinking water to lose weight and be healthier is one of the easiest habits you can have, especially when you can make so many types of infused water recipes to choose from.
